We have stopped accepting abstracts / full-lengths papers with effect from 10 January  2013.​



All delegates whose papers have been selected for presentation/ publication, will be intimated via email, on 17 January 2013 by 6 pm.

PUBLICATION OF SEMINAR PAPERS:

All articles selected for presentation, will be published in a book with ISBN, which will be released on the second day of the Seminar.

ACCOMMODATION:



Accommodation is available in College Campus, on a first-come-first-serve basis, for fifteen participants, on both single/sharing basis, at a nominal sum of Rs.500-700 per day. 



There are quite a few standard hotels nearby with a tariff of Rs.1200 - 3000/-

Hotel Emerald Park is situated within a two-km radius. 



Hotel Henkala is within one-km distance from the College Campus.



Hotel Shree Bhavan is located within one-km radius from the College Campus.

HOW TO REACH THE VENUE:

Dwight Atkinson is an applied linguist and second language educator who specializes in writing (first and second language), qualitative research approaches, and second language acquisition. Current projects include an attempt to establish a view of second language acquisition on "sociocognitive" principles, research in India on the experiences of vernacular language-schooled students in English-language universities, and a booklength study of different theories of culture impacting TESOL and applied linguistics. Past work has covered a wide variety of topics, from the history of medical and scientific research writing in English, to critiques of commonly used concepts in university writing instruction such as critical thinking and voice, to explorations of the concept of culture, to writings on qualitative research methods. Atkinson teaches courses in qualitative research, postmodernism, and second language acquisition at Purdue, where he is an assistant professor of English.

     It gives us great pleasure in welcoming you to participate and present your paper at the Two-day UGC-Sponsored International Seminar on 31 January & 01 February 2013 in Madras Christian College. Please find below information regarding the Seminar for your perusal.

PRESENTATION AND PUBLICATION OF PAPERS:
 All paper presenters will be given six minutes for presentation and four minutes for discussion on each paper. PowerPoint presentations are preferred.
 The Conference Proceedings Publication [with ISBN] is to be released on the second day of the Seminar.
 Please ensure that papers submitted for publication are unpublished and original. Also, ensure that your full-length paper has a word-length of 2500–3000 words.
 Original research articles should be sent as an email attachment in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, size 12, A4, double-spaced format to ugcseminarmcc@gmail.com
 Last date for sending in your full-length article is 07 January 2013.
